July 1st, Chevrolet and International Speedway Corporation announced a multi-year agreement for the DAYTONA Rising redevelopment project which makes Chevrolet a Founding Partner at Daytona International Speedway (DIS). Expected to be finished by January 2016, the project includes the front stretch which reaches around one-mile long. On top of that the project looks to rework DIS into the first ever motorsport stadium with all new features and attractions. As a part of the agreement, Chevrolet is given the naming rights for one of the five speedway entrances being built. This entrance will feature over 20,000 square feet of new Chevrolet displays, as well as an overall experience that will engage fans over the course of four different levels. “Chevrolet has been an integral part of the ISC family for many years and we look forward to continuing our strong relationship,” said ISC Chief Executive Officer Lesa France Kennedy. “As part of its activation at DAYTONA Rising and other ISC facilities, Chevrolet will represent its iconic automotive brand through interactive experiences with fans.” Along with their naming rights for an entrance, Chevrolet is also being given the branding rights for the “neighborhood” near its entrance. Each neighborhood will be around the size of a football field and located throughout the front stretch, with a variety of features like a wide selection of food, retail setups, and dozens of video screens. On top of that, Chevrolet will be an official partner for “The Great American Race”, The DAYTONA 500®.

After months of anticipation, Chevy enthusiasts everywhere were finally treated to the official unveiling of the 2016 Chevy Cruze. The debut of this all-new model took place on June 24th when the brand proudly showed off the impressively redesigned model that offers a whole new level of technology and efficiency. The design and handling of the 2016 Cruze is also sportier and more dynamic than the previous model bringing this one into a class of its own. Just recently Chevrolet made the announcement that it would be adding a Theft Alarm Notification to its Stolen Vehicle Assistance service currently available for its OnStar subscribers. The new service sends an update to the driver whenever the vehicle's alarm is triggered, and will be available this summer. Subscribers can choose to receive their update through a variety of methods including text, email, or phone. “Prompt response and quick awareness of theft situations give customers a greater chance to recover stolen property,” said Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Truck Marketing. “By leveraging the connection that OnStar provides, Chevrolet owners can remain in contact with their vehicle, even when it is out of sight.” If a Chevrolet with OnStar is stolen, you will be notified and OnStar advisors will quickly work with authorities as well as use GPS tracking to find the vehicles exact location. For certain cars if the conditions are right, OnStar can cause the vehicle to slow down, helping police in recovering the vehicle. Theft Alarm Notifications will be available as a part of Onstar’s Stolen Vehicle Assistance service and will be able to be used by subscribers with the Security Guidance package. The majority of models from 2014 are compatible with the Theft Alarm Notification system. For a list of compatible vehicles, you can contact an OnStar representative.

Additionally, Chevrolet has more models in top 3 positions than any other brand with 10 total. Beginning next year, Chevrolet will once again become part of the ever-growing low cab forward medium-duty truck segment when it releases six new models. These models will all be based on the Isuzu N-Series  and will include the Chevrolet 3500, 3500HD, 4500, 4500HD, 5500 and 5500 HD. The Chevrolet Cruze has just achieved its latest major accomplishment as the brand’s number one selling car with 3.5 million sales across the globe. This announcement comes as the company gears up to unveil the next generation of the Cruze on June 24th. The Cruze is sold in 115 countries throughout the world having its top sales in China, the United States, Brazil and Canada. From 2013 to 2014 the Cruze increased its U.S. sales by 10 percent and has been Chevrolet’s second-best selling model to customers younger than 25 living in the U.S. It is important to note that the Cruze helps to attract new customers to the brand, 35 percent of buyers are newcomers.
